Fundada em 1957, tem como objetivo promover a dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento t\u00e9cnico e contribuir para o desenvolvimento da ind\u00fastria de forma segura e ambientalmente respons\u00e1vel. Atualmente, a SPE conta com mais de 168 mil associados distribu\u00eddos em mais de 144 pa\u00edses. No Brasil, a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 dividida em tr\u00eas se\u00e7\u00f5es: Brasil, Bahia\u2013Sergipe e Maca\u00e9, sendo o Cap\u00edtulo Estudantil SPE UFES vinculado \u00e0 Se\u00e7\u00e3o Maca\u00e9.<\/p><p>O Petroufes \u00e9 um evento organizado por esse cap\u00edtulo e realizado na Universidade Federal do Esp\u00edrito Santo (UFES), Campus S\u00e3o Mateus.
